Samsung's new One UI 4.0 update for Galaxy S21 fixes screen refresh rate bug

After beta-testing the Android 12-based One UI iv.0 update for the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung released the stable version last calendar week. Withal, the stable update had a screen refresh rate-related bug that made animations and scrolling announced stuttery. The South Korean firm has now released a new hotfix update to solve the result.

The US variants of the Galaxy S21, Milky way S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra running the first stable version of Ane UI four.0 reverted to a 60Hz refresh rate equally soon as the user's finger stopped touching the screen. It is due to a buggy implementation of adaptive screen refresh rate, and information technology made animations, scrolling, and transitions appear jittery. To prepare this issue, Samsung released the 2nd stable version of Ane UI 4.0 in the U.s.a. with firmware versionG99xUSQU4BUK9.

This new update is currently available on Verizon's network, and other carriers could release it soon. While the official changelog doesn't specifically mention this bug fix, many users have confirmed that information technology largely solves the screen refresh rate result. Global variants of the Milky way S21 serial do not have this result, and then the new update might not be released to those units.
